Sharif Shakhshir is an American Muslim creator from Arab and Latinx descent. He’s the writer of “Final Stop” on Amazon Prime. He’s also known as an animation writer and for his short fiction and poetry.

He co-founded the indie game company Art of Distress with Kathryn Powell. He also has worked for Social Cipher as a narrative designer for the game “Ava.”

Sharif’s writing is known for smart but real dialogue and complex characters and social commentary. He’s a graduate from UCI and USC where he had studied under writers like Syd Field, Michael Price and more.

He’s an animation writer who has studied the art and act of animation at Mt San Antonio College and The Animation Guild. As a freelancer his scripts speak directly and clearly to the production crew with knowledge of what they need which avoids costly slow downs. As a creator he can give meaningful notes to all areas of production.

He is currently finishing his first collection stories and poems called “The Art of Being Expendable.”
